Not content with privatising delivery of penal services to dodgy providers (
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/10226728/G4S-pulls-out-of-race-for-new-electronic-tagging-contract-amid-fraud-inquiry.html
) and introducing a regressive system of charging that may exclude the less well off from justice and encourage the innocent to plead guilty (
http://www.theguardian.com/law/2015/aug/24/court-charges-make-a-mockery-of-justice
) the UK Ministry Justice is also seeking to boost revenues by selling advisory services to to Saudi Arabia:
http://blogs.ft.com/david-allen-green/2015/01/20/raif-badawi-the-ministry-of-justices-commercial-proposal-to-saudi-arabia/
Wrong on so many levels!
For those readers who think a different approach to influencing the justice system in Saudi Arabia might be more appropriate please look here:

The Minister of Justice and Prime Minister have possibly been reading the PFM Board and decided to withdraw the bid for providing technical guidance to Saudi Arabia:

But this seems the more likely motivation:
