Introduction to the PEFA Methodology - Training

This two-day training workshop is designed to provide participants with an in depth understanding of this assessment tool with a clear appreciation of both its strengths and weaknesses in gaining an accurate and insightful sense of the status of PFM processes and practice in a given country.

It will also provide a basis for participants to manage and engage in PEFA Assessments in a meaningful way, especially with respect to

**planning an assessment,
**commenting on Terms of Reference,
**reviewing a draft PEFA Report,
**participating in the dialogue with government and or donors in an effective way in respect of undertaking PFM reforms, and
**monitoring PFM reform progress over time.

This training is designed for:
Government officials and Development advisors The course is designed to ensure that participants are best equipped to take the appropriate next steps towards effecting PFM reform once a PFM performance assessment such as a PEFA Assessment is complete.
