Analysing the Global Debt Bubble - Prof Steve Keen's blog
« on: December 03, 2011, 10:09:41 GMT »
Radical and interesting blog - kick off by watching the interview on BBC Hardtalk and then browse the site.  This is the guy who claims he foresaw the economic crisis and knows the reasons why it happened.  Known as the "Merchant of Gloom", his  way of avoiding Depression: bankrupt the banks, nationalize the financial system and start all over again. Enjoy:

Seems like they are all at it - Robert Peston's two parter on why the West Went Bust was an intelligent and surprisingly lucid programme this evening on the BBC.

It would indeed be a treat to listen to Robert Peston being lucid, but I can't access BBC i-player when I'm outside the UK. Any tips?

None I'm afraid - this is the sort of thing which might appear on BBC World News but I can't find their schedules.  Said Mr Peston clearly operates better with a script/auto-cue.

You need to get a proxy server e.g. foxyproxy though many of the proxies do not work well and keep changing.  it may therefore be better to get a more professional set up.  I would suggest Identity Cloaker.  Try this: http://www.anonymous-proxies.org/2009/02/using-iplayer-abroad-viewing-bbc-via.html to see how it all works
