Title: Software for budget preparation

In order to kick off discussion here is attached a brief presentation of the software adopted in Albania for MTEF/budget preparation.

The software concept and formulation was developed by REPIM http://www.repim.eu/; a local software company was commissioned to assist  REPIM in transforming these into a useable software product.

The system is server-based, located in the MoF and accessible via the Government intranet. The system is organised as a series of screens that closely follow the procedures for line ministries’ MTEF submissions.

The program structure adopted is the following:

• Goals
• Objectives
• Outputs
• Projects
• Activities
• Inputs (expenditures)

What you find in the first attachment is the presentation of a few, selected software screens. One screen is attached in picture form (click on it to enlarge it).
